Hello gorgeous soul, welcome to my blog Business by Divine!
You’re here because you’re an ambitious woman looking to start or scale your dream business, but something has been holding you back, or you don’t yet have the vehicle that will take you from here to where you want to be. This is where I come in as your guide, teaching a blend of mindset and business strategy that will help you transform your life in record time. I’m on a mission to empower as many women to create their own online empire that will allow them to earn what they’re worth and design a life they love. So yes, you are in the right place, and I’ve got your back!
We are currently exploring the 12 Universal Laws and how they apply to building a business, and this week is all about the Law of Relativity which in my interpretation means to stay in your own lane.
Thoughts are things, they create our beliefs, which cause our emotions. So when we find ourselves in comparasonitis, we need to check in with ourselves and find out why we are vibing at that low frequency, coming from a place of lack or jealousy, and pull back, reach for a better feeling.
Be happy for that woman who has it all, her dream career, living life on her own terms, traveling the world first class wearing the clothes to match. It’s easy to think “I could never be like her, I could never do those things. I could never have her life.” Hey let that stinking thinking go, you don’t know what she suffered, what she had to sacrifice, what she had to let go of or lose to achieve what she’s achieved.
The road to success is not paved with good intentions. You’ve got to burn all bridges behind you, leaving yourself no possible way of retreat. For the path is a windy and twisty one with many switchbacks and signposts that in hindsight you could have missed. It can be rocky and craggy and often quite lonely. There will be times when you want to scream (and you will) and feel like throwing your laptop at the wall (not the best idea, please don’t). You’ll question yourself, you’ll have shiny object syndrome. You’ll think about quitting, you’ll take adversity as a sign that you’re not on the right path and think about your other options. You’ll overthink things. You’ll obsess and stay up sleepless nights. You’ll ugly cry, you will.
So why even bother becoming a femalepreneur if it’s going to be that much work?
Because the rewards on the other side are so flipping worth it. You get the time freedom to wake up without an alarm if you choose, or set it early so you can get on with your DMO (Daily Method of Operation). You’ll have the time freedom to take your kids to school and be there to pick them up, to spend the afternoons together making precious memories. To take them on vacations around the world without having to ask for time off. You’ll have created the financial freedom to live life on your own terms, with options, flexibility to do what you want when you want.
It’s not going to happen overnight. It might take you 3-5 years or longer to build where you want to be. It could take less. But once you have that first taste of freedom, you won’t be able to imagine any other way.
Just make sure you stay in your own lane along the way. This is your journey, it will unfold just as it should. Yes, success loves speed, but your speed may be someone else’s tortoise and someone else’s Monaco Grand Prix. Your success is always going to be relative to someone else’s, so just do you. Be the best version of yourself as you can. Take care of yourself every damn day, not just on the weekends. Go on and act as if you’re already living her life. Go on and grow into the woman you need to be so you can do the things she does and have the things she has. Show up consistently in your business every single day in spite of what life is throwing at you, how you feel, or what you believe to be your current reality. And keep showing up until. Until you’ve overcome your fear, until you’ve hit rock bottom and picked yourself up one last time, until you’ve regained your confidence, until you can be happy for those who have achieved success and mean it. Until you’ve been handed the lessons over and over and over again and finally learned from them.
Make a conscious effort to be grateful for what you already do have. Wake up in gratitude every morning and fall asleep in gratitude every night. Have a gratitude check-in all throughout the day. Recognize the negative emotions when they come, and tap into your higher power to come back to who you are and what you stand for, and what you need to be doing to grow.
The great Jim Rohn defined success as being grateful for all you’ve got while working towards all you want. And when you stop comparing yourself to anyone else, you’ll love your life and you won’t be able to stop yourself because you’ll know you’re on the right path and that your success is inevitable.
