Don’t be afraid of sharing your story, you could be the beacon of light for someone else, showing others what’s possible and that there is a better way. A way out for them, too. When you put your true self out there to the world, you build personal connection. This is what gives people a reason to follow you. Hello influence!

When you tell your story and share your journey, you are being authentic and in integrity. You’re sharing your truth, which is your superpower. You’re not copying and pasting from someone else. Your experience, your story is your brand, and that’s what makes you beautifully, authentically you. There is no one else out there like you, who can do what you do in the way that you do it. So get out there and shine your light, the world needs your gifts now more than ever.

STAND OUT ABOVE THE NOISE

What sharing your story will do for you: it sets you apart from the crowd. No matter what industry you’re in, everyone else out there is selling and spamming. That’s not what I teach you to do. When you switch from selling to serving, you’ll make an impact. And that’s what influences people to follow you and buy your product, service or opportunity.

So how does this strategy work exactly? Your brand is everything you stand for. It will attract the right people and repel the wrong people. It encompasses your mission, the reason you show up consistently every single day. Because you’re being led by your heart and soul and spirit to make a difference in the lives of others. And because you’re having fun doing it, by sharing your story and your journey, you’re attracting an audience who resonate with you and your brand mission. 


These are the people who are going to show up in your inbox asking what it is you’re doing and how they can work with you. That’s because your content is speaking directly to their heart, soul and spirit. Hello influence! Hello dream clients, customers and/or team members! Like-minded ambitious women seeking to make a change in their lives the way you’ve made in yours!

CRAFTING YOUR STORY

So let’s go a bit deeper into how to craft your story, the social media content led by your brand that is going to help you grow your business organically, meaning with no ad spend. Hello attraction marketing!

Let’s start with the beginning, which could be your breaking point. For example, what led you to read this blog post today? What was the driving factor when you knew you had to make a change in your life?  Write the answer down, as this is going to be important to clarifying your mission statement.

Next, you want to build on your transition from that starting point/breaking point into the life of an entrepreneur. What is it like starting or relaunching your business? Your content here could be about your fears and vulnerabilities, behind the scenes, a day in the life, books you’re reading, a Masterclass, challenge you’re participating in or course you’re taking, the strategies you are learning. What do you love about the transformational journey you’re on?

Then you’ll quickly start to add your accomplishments, big or small.  These posts could be testimonials from the people whose lives you are touching. What actions you took to achieve these accomplishments. This is where you’ll insert your solution/mission, how you help others.

Take your audience on your journey with you. Those who are like-minded will relate and be inspired. Hello influence! Hello like-know-and trust factor, which is when your audience is ready to buy from or work with you!

Visibility has been the buzzword in my circles over the last week or two, so today I wanted to share with you my top 3 tips on why it’s so important to show up consistently every day in your business, and a few of my top strategies on how to do so.

1. Whether you’re looking to start or scale your business, networking is a big component. The larger your circle, your following, your influence, the faster your business will grow. Get around people who are more successful than you, who will pull you forward, who you can collaborate with. You could start by joining a local women’s entrepreneurial group where you can learn and grow together, building relationships that will eventually turn into friends, clients, and referrals. Join Facebook Groups that are within your niche, you’ll meet the most amazing women! Not by spamming your products and services, but just by introducing yourself, interacting, and adding value. If you build rapport with someone, then you can take it to a conversation in DM and ultimately a networking phone call where you can learn what each other do and find ways to collaborate. From using these techniques this week alone, I’ve booked in countless calls, had a strategy session with the incredible mindfulness and mindset coach Jen Robinson (you’ve got to know about her, and can check her out at https://peacefullivingwellness.com/!) who has given me so many incredible ideas, as well as the opportunity to be a regular guest writer on her blog! I’ve also been offered another blogging opportunity, and three invitations to speak on a podcast. You never know where someone might come across you and your mission! Opportunities abound! But only if you’re putting yourself out there. If you hide behind your computer all day working on SEO and back office stuff, it’s going to be a long journey. Success loves speed, so use these tips to get yourself out there and build your business fast!

2. Get a DMO and work it diligently! Your Daily Method of Operation should be locked in to your calendar, so you know where and how to be showing up every day across all your platforms. And even if the idea makes you want to go back to bed and throw the covers over your head, you’ve gotta hit that LIVE button and just do it. At least once a week. Going live boosts your engagement, and it’s also a great way to take your audience behind the scenes and along for the ride on your journey. Even if you”re just starting your business today, share your fear, share your excitement, share what you’re working on. Again, you’re not showing up in your posts or lives to sell and spam, but to add value by empowering, educating or entertaining by being your most authentic self. When you show the good, the bad and the ugly, you become relatable to your followers, and they’ll grow to know, like and trust you, and guess what! That’s when they are going to start reaching out to YOU instead of the other way around, and you always have people in your pipeline and conversations going. That’s where you’ll find your next client or team member! Make sure you include a strong CTA (call to action) at the end of your lives and posts so people know where to find you and how to reach out to you. 3. Collaborations are key! I love connecting with femalepreneurs and seeing how we can put each other forward. That could look like a joint offline event, an online live or podcast interview, a public speaking engagement, speaking in a FB group, speaking at a retreat, or trading referrals. And if you offer a product, why not reach out to service-based businesses to see if they would be open to adding a product line to add value to their client base while generating another stream of income for themselves? If you offer a service-based business, why not connect with a business woman who offers a product line? If you run one without the other, you could be leaving heaps of money on the table!

More than anything, be kind to yourself. Keep learning as much as you can as fast as you can, execute and test and try out the strategies until you find what resonates and works best for you. There isn’t just one way to build a business, and these things can take some time, often 3-5 years or more to get where you want to be. So be in it for the long game, have fun, and remember when you combine the law of attraction with the law of action, that’s when the magic happens!
