Visibility has been the buzzword in my circles over the last week or two, so today I wanted to share with you my top 3 tips on why it’s so important to show up consistently every day in your business, and a few of my top strategies on how to do so.

1. Whether you’re looking to start or scale your business, networking is a big component. The larger your circle, your following, your influence, the faster your business will grow. Get around people who are more successful than you, who will pull you forward, who you can collaborate with. You could start by joining a local women’s entrepreneurial group where you can learn and grow together, building relationships that will eventually turn into friends, clients, and referrals. Join Facebook Groups that are within your niche, you’ll meet the most amazing women! Not by spamming your products and services, but just by introducing yourself, interacting, and adding value. If you build rapport with someone, then you can take it to a conversation in DM and ultimately a networking phone call where you can learn what each other do and find ways to collaborate. From using these techniques this week alone, I’ve booked in countless calls, had a strategy session with the incredible mindfulness and mindset coach Jen Robinson (you’ve got to know about her, and can check her out at https://peacefullivingwellness.com/!) who has given me so many incredible ideas, as well as the opportunity to be a regular guest writer on her blog! I’ve also been offered another blogging opportunity, and three invitations to speak on a podcast. You never know where someone might come across you and your mission! Opportunities abound! But only if you’re putting yourself out there. If you hide behind your computer all day working on SEO and back office stuff, it’s going to be a long journey. Success loves speed, so use these tips to get yourself out there and build your business fast!

2. Get a DMO and work it diligently! Your Daily Method of Operation should be locked in to your calendar, so you know where and how to be showing up every day across all your platforms. And even if the idea makes you want to go back to bed and throw the covers over your head, you’ve gotta hit that LIVE button and just do it. At least once a week. Going live boosts your engagement, and it’s also a great way to take your audience behind the scenes and along for the ride on your journey. Even if you”re just starting your business today, share your fear, share your excitement, share what you’re working on. Again, you’re not showing up in your posts or lives to sell and spam, but to add value by empowering, educating or entertaining by being your most authentic self. When you show the good, the bad and the ugly, you become relatable to your followers, and they’ll grow to know, like and trust you, and guess what! That’s when they are going to start reaching out to YOU instead of the other way around, and you always have people in your pipeline and conversations going. That’s where you’ll find your next client or team member! Make sure you include a strong CTA (call to action) at the end of your lives and posts so people know where to find you and how to reach out to you. 3. Collaborations are key! I love connecting with femalepreneurs and seeing how we can put each other forward. That could look like a joint offline event, an online live or podcast interview, a public speaking engagement, speaking in a FB group, speaking at a retreat, or trading referrals. And if you offer a product, why not reach out to service-based businesses to see if they would be open to adding a product line to add value to their client base while generating another stream of income for themselves? If you offer a service-based business, why not connect with a business woman who offers a product line? If you run one without the other, you could be leaving heaps of money on the table!

More than anything, be kind to yourself. Keep learning as much as you can as fast as you can, execute and test and try out the strategies until you find what resonates and works best for you. There isn’t just one way to build a business, and these things can take some time, often 3-5 years or more to get where you want to be. So be in it for the long game, have fun, and remember when you combine the law of attraction with the law of action, that’s when the magic happens!

Being Self Motivated

To motivate is to provide with a motive: a reason to take action. Motivation is the by-product of desire. Desire and motivation are joined at the hip, neither can exist without each other. They exist at the same level, which is why we must get clear on what it is we are willing to work for, to fight for, to get up earlier every morning and stay up later every night (in the beginning anyway, while you’re getting your business set up properly), to show up even on the days when we don’t want to. When the why gets clear, the how gets easy and the universe will open doors to you that you never dreamed possible, people will come into your life that you could never have imagined, and you’ll know you are on the right path and your success is inevitable. What is your greatest desire? Mine is to make my daughter Sophie’s life a masterpiece and show her the world. And I’ve been able to do just that, building a business from scratch when we had just lost everything and had limited resources. If I can do it, so can you.

We only have this one crazy life, so why aren’t we all running towards our desires like a house on fire? No one else can motivate you, it has to come from within. Nor can you really motivate anyone else, you can certainly inspire and empower, but motivation is an inside job. Go to work harder on yourself than anything else, get a personal growth and development strategy and never miss a day of learning something that will help you scale to the next level and fast. The books we read and the people we surround ourselves with are who we become, so get around people who are way more successful than you and create a new circle that will pull you forward rather than hold you back. This new circle may be local where you’re able to get together often; or it may be new friends or mentors you meet in the online space that you message with and interact with in a group scenario. As you start to build your team, you’ll have people come into your business who will promise you the world and tell you they are so hungry to get to the top they can taste it, and you will want so badly to believe them. The truth is, you can’t depend on just one or a handful of people for your success, so you always want to be sponsoring new life into your team. Actions speak louder than words, and those who keep telling you they are trying or they hope it happens, remember their attempt to verbally convince you is just talk. Don’t wait around on anybody, keep building your team and you’ll find your superstars!

Be enthusiastic, you can’t light a fire with a wet match! You can’t excite others if you are not excited yourself. Contagious enthusiasm sells. Enthusiasm is contagious, and before you know it, those around you will be more energetic and expectant of good things to come, and those will be your leaders. Be that person who is so certain of getting to the top that every person who comes in contact with you will feel the power of purpose radiating from you.

Quit procrastinating. Be a self-starter so you can get the things done that will get you to the top. Only you know what you need to do, so figure it out and do it as soon as you can. Pity those who always put everything off to the last minute, for they rarely get to the top of anything in life. It’s a do it to yourself world, so stop evaluating and start doing!
